The English language has a similar set of words that may sound similar but have different meanings. They are not a part of homophones though.

But ‘some time’ being two words convey it clearly as ‘some’ and ‘time’. The requirement of the amount of time is mentioned using the two-word form. ‘Sometimes’ is different from the other two, it is a mention of the past experiences.
