Conclusion

The homophones are tricky, as they have two extreme meanings. In the case of ‘bear’ and ‘bare’, they have different meanings. Moreover, both are used in different contexts. First up, a bear is an animal and ‘bare’ does not go any close to an animal unless you don’t have bare minimum weapons to confront one.

The misuse of these words can indicate a different meaning it changes the context. Say for example, ‘ I saw a bare’ – Now, Bare what? Or ‘I have bare minimum funds with me’ – it is meaningless. This can be understood only when you get to know the context and meaning. While speaking, it does make more sense as the pronunciation does not differ. That’s the funny part of English.
