Difference Between DX and LX

DX vs LX

Honda Motor Company Limited is a Japanese motorcycle and car manufacturer. It is the world’s largest motorcycle manufacturer and the sixth largest car manufacturer in the world. Aside from motorcycles and cars, it also produces marine engines, power generators, garden equipment, and they have been recently involved in robotics research and aerospace.

Their first venture in car manufacturing was the release in 1963 of the T360 mini-pickup truck. Today it manufactures several popular car designs such as the Accord, Odyssey, and Civic. These cars have different trims which are the features that they have consisting of the standard equipment that each car carries. Two of its most popular trims are the DX and the LX.

The DX is its basic trim with a standard, manual transmission although one can have an automatic transmission if he wishes to. It has Honda cars’ basic features and standard equipment. It is the cheapest-priced Honda car containing the basic car accessories available, such as: power windows, window defroster, and remote trunk release. One can also have air conditioning and an audio system installed.

It has the SOHC i-VTEC 140hp engine which can accommodate up to 1.8 liters, front disc and rear drum brakes that are power assisted, with all door handles and mirrors in black. Safety features include three-point seat belts with reminders in the driver and front passenger’s seats, multiple threshold airbags in the front as well as side curtain airbags, and it is also equipped with lower anchors and tethers for children (LATCH) and an anti-lock braking system (ABS).

The LX, on the other hand, is an enhanced version of the DX and has more features added to those already in the DX. Its value package includes: air conditioning and audio system, and its doors and mirrors are all in the body color. It has the same engine as the DX, but it has the intelligent, multi-information display (i-MID) controls and color TFT screen.
