Difference Between Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge

The South Korean giant has been reigning over the smartphone industry for almost a decade. With new devices and new innovation, it’s completely redefining the boundaries of what a smartphone can do. Stealing the limelight are the Samsung’s latest duo of flagships – the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. It seems the technology giant is used to the dominance and the latest duo of flagship smartphones has elevated that confidence. Both S7 and S7 Edge are identical in terms of specs and features with some top-of-the-line additions over the last year’s S6 and S6 Edge such as the Always On display, the Dual Pixel Sensor camera, the curvy edges, the elegantly crafted metal rims, and more. Despite the similarities, they have some differences as well.

Galaxy S7

Galaxy S7 is impeccably crafted to push the limits and with the Super AMOLED display and a more petite frame, it’s definitely changing the way you carry a smartphone. On the surface, it boasts a flat-screen elegant design crafted from the finest quality metal and glass with curved back and smooth edges, which makes it beautiful to look at. The back is slightly curved making it extremely comfortable to hold in your hands, plus it’s strong and sturdy yet equally lightweight to meet your daily requirements with ease without adding any extra bulk. The main highlight of the phone is the Super AMOLED display backed by a 5.1-inch Quad HD screen which is provides a premium feel to the smartphone.

It’s almost identically sized to its predecessor Galaxy S6 but is more feature-rich now with all the bells and whistles. It’s elegantly curved back to fit perfectly in your palm, plus it’s IP68 dust and water resistant which protects your phone from accidental spills. The “Always On” display sets this device apart so you can take a glance at time, date and alerts when the phone is asleep. It seems Samsung is following in the footsteps of Motorola. The 12MP primary camera is top-notch with a professional grade Dual-Pixel sensor technology which is the first of its kind and enhanced camera sensor for dramatic details, even in low light conditions. It’s a near perfect phone that’s worth lusting over.

Galaxy S7 Edge

The Edge is elegantly designed with beautifully curved front and back that looks just stunning and feels equally good to hold. It only takes a look to fell in love with and it changes the way you look at a phone the moment you lay eyes on it. It is a complete package of form and function. The massive 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with the infinite curve is definitely what catches the eye. The combination of metal and glass is definitely a splurge and it’s insanely slim and the best part; despite the large screen size, it doesn’t feel like you’re holding a phablet. The screen takes almost the entire front of the device, leaving small bezels at the top and bottom, and the glass does the rest.

The camera is the all the same as the Galaxy S7 with the advanced Dual Pixel Sensor technology which lets you take amazing and crisp pictures even in extremely low-light conditions. The primary camera is 12MP and the front facing camera stands at 5MP which is equally matched to take decent selfies. Bigger pixels are synonymous with better low-light performance and the autofocus feature is among the fastest in any smartphone.  The processor is incredibly fast which is backed by 4GB of RAM which surely keeps everything running smooth and the battery is bigger now with a 3,600mAh pack which stuffs some extra juice to get you running that extra mile. The Always On display is quite something and the Samsung Pay is an added bonus which makes paying a breeze.
