If you’re on the lookout for a car to buy ‘“ what are the things that you usually look for? For most people, it can range from the price, the ‘look’ and style of the car, the mileage, speed and features, and the reputation or the reliability of the car manufacturer. Here, we will take a look at two different models from the same brand of car, which is Mitsubishi.

One of their most popular models is the Mitsubishi Evo, which stands for Evolution ‘“ and the company has already released several editions of the same model name. The first edition of the Mitsubishi Evo was released in 1992, and it is basically a high-performance version of the ever-popular Mitsubishi Lancer.

Now, two of the models that we will compare, are the Evo GSR and the Evo MR. The GSR is part of the Evolution I models of the Mitsubishi Evo, while the MR belongs to the Evolution VIII group.

The first generation Evo I cars, which include the GSR, have 5-speed manual engines, and were produced from October 1992 up to January 1994. Meanwhile, the eighth generation of Evo cars, which include the MR models, come in 5-speed and 6-speed manual engines. The MRs were released from January 2003 to March 2005.

Perhaps the only differences between the GSR and the MR, are some exterior features, and a few interior features. As mentioned earlier, the MR comes in models which have a 6-speed transmission, while the GSR has only five speeds. The MR also has some luxury features like optional leather seats.

Depending on your personal tastes, you can take your pick from either the MR or GSR models of the Mitsubishi Evo ‘“ but their performances as vehicles are virtually the same.
