BlackBerry Torch 9860 is the first full capacitive touch screen BlackBerry smart phone by Research In Motion. It was officially announced during August 2011, but the release to market is still expected on September 2011, to be exact. The much anticipated phone has a plastic chassis and a black glossy finish to it with a 3.7″ multi touch screen.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 is another smart phone announced and released in August 2011 by Research In Motion. The Torch 9810 is a touch display phone with a Slide- out QWERTY keyboard. Without the keyboard Slide out, the phone stands at 4.3″, while with the keyboard slide out the phone comes to a 5.8”.The BlackBerry Torch 9810 is available in a lighter and a darker shade of grey.

Without the keyboard slide out, BlackBerry Torch 9810 will have an optical track pad, call button, end call button, as well as, back button, situated right beneath the screen in front of the device. The camera records HD video at 720 p. However, a much needed front facing camera is not existent in the BlackBerry Torch 9810.

BlackBerry Torch 9810 is running on BlackBerry OS 7 just like other phones released during the same time. The interface is more sleek and smooth than the previous versions of BlackBerry OS. The browser with BlackBerry Torch 9810 is smooth and responds well to gestures such as pinch to zoom. A document viewer is also on board supporting Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
