Difference Between Allah and Jesus

Jesus Christ is otherwise called Jesus. He is the fundamental stature of Christianity. He is also called Jesus of Nazareth. It is important to note that the Old Testament mentions him as the Messiah. He is described as the Son of God. The basic teaching of Jesus is to love one another.

Allah means God. The Muslims use this word to refer to God. According to Islam Allah is unique and the only deity. He is considered the creator of the universe and he is looked upon as omnipotent. The term Allah was used by the people during the period of pre-Islamic Arabia. Allah was used by Meccans to refer to the creator of the universe.

It is interesting to note that the majority of the Christians look upon Jesus as the incarnation of God the Son, of the divine Trinity. It is important to know that although Jesus was accepted as a Messiah by the Christians according to the Old Testament, the people that follow Judaism reject the belief that Jesus was the Messiah.

The word Jesus is derived from the Latin ‘lesus’. The word Messiah is understood in the context of a king anointed at the Almighty’s direction. In short it can be said that a Messiah is anointed at the God’s approval.

On the other hand word Allah is derived from a contraction of the Arabic definite article ‘al’ meaning ‘the’ and ‘ilah’, meaning ‘deity’. Hence according to Islam Allah is considered as the one deity. He is the supreme and the omnipotent as well. He is the sole cause for the creation of the universe. According to Islam Allah is the proper name of God. He is the sole judge of mankind too.

One of the main differences between Jesus and Allah is that Jesus is considered the central figure in Christianity and he has a form. The Allah of the Islam is God without form.
