Another Torch series phone from RIM to be released this year. According to speculation the new BlackBerry Torch 2 is going to be a very powerful device with 1.2GHz Processor, 8GB built in Memory and to run the latest BlackBerry OS 6.1.
From the out side design it does not look much different to Torch 9800, but the spec looks great. The processor speed is nearly double that of Torch 9800, in addition it’s going to come with 3.2″ VGA touch screen, slide out full QWERTY keyboard, 5 megapixel camera, NFC, and more can be anticipated.
The Blackberry Torch 9800, which was introduced in latter part of last year is a stylish and elegant device running on Blackberry OS6.0 and has features such as universal search. This allows the user one application on the Blackberry Torch 9800 to search for any folder or file or any document present in the phone or over the internet. It is the first Torch version that has incorporated the large touch screen design of the Storm and the slide out physical full QWERTY keyboard of Bold in to its new design.
Torch 9800 has 3.2″ capacitive HVGA display with a resolution of 480 x 360pixels and more memory, 8GB internal memory, expandable with microSD card up to 32GB, 512MB RAM and a decent 5.0 MP camera. The Built in Wi-Fi supports 802.11n, which enables three times faster connectivity. (802.11b/g – 54 Mbps; 802.11n – 150 Mbps). It also takes much shorter time to power on.
Outside this technicality, the first impression of the phone is also very pleasing with its wet look and nice finish and it has also integrated some featured applications such as PrimeTime2Go and Kobo eReaders.
