Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge are two types of browsers that help us get information from web pages.
Chrome vs Edge
The main difference between Chrome and Edge is that both Chrome and Edge have different user interfaces. While both the browsers by default put the tabs we open in the browser in rows at the top of the browser, Edge gives an option to switch tabs towards the side of the browser in a vertical way. Another difference is that both have different search engines. While Chrome uses Google as its search engine, Edge uses Bing.

Although not the most popular, Microsoft Edge doesn’t lag behind and comes in second place among the most widely used internet browsers on the globe. It accounts for 7.75 percent of all internet browser usage worldwide. It is the default browser on Windows. Microsoft Edge, developed by Microsoft, uses Bing as its search engine and supports devices such as Linux, Android, Windows, iOS, etc.

Microsoft Edge allows cross-accessibility on various devices such as Linux, Android, Windows, iOS, etc. In addition to this, Edge also has a feature where users can set their tabs towards the side of the window, i.e., vertically. Microsoft Edge uses Bing as its search engine. Microsoft Edge is also the default web browser on Windows.
Microsoft Edge, despite not being the most popular web browser, accounts for 7.75 per cent of all web browsers used globally. Microsoft has another feature called “Collection” that allows users to group similar types of sites or images. Microsoft Edge has “My Feed” as its default first web page that shows news, videos, images, and many other things tailored according to the likeness of the user.

- Chrome has its list of tabs open horizontally on the top of the webpage, while Edge, although by default, has its tabs open at the top as well, can be shifted towards the side of the webpage, which cannot be done in Chrome.

- Chrome is said to be slower in comparison to Edge. On the other hand, Microsoft claims Edge to be 112% faster than Chrome.

Both Chrome and Edge also use different search engines that have different application accessibility within them. Chrome is the default browser for Android mobile phones, while Edge is the default browser for Windows.
