Medical is a broad field and have numerous subject to cover. Medical students study a lot like UG, PG and even after that, they keep doing many courses to stay updated with all the scientific technologies happening around the world. There are two broad studies EMT and paramedic in medical and they both have many similarities but also vary in parameters.
The paramedic team goes to the accident spot from where they have been called and provides them with advanced medical support to the patients till they safely reach the hospital for the treatment. Paramedics usually deal with higher responsibilities like providing patients the necessary injections, drugs, breathing support with tubes and ventilation equipment, and applying pacemakers, etc.

- EMTs require a training period of 170 hours while paramedic requires a training period of about 1500-1800 hours.
- Both EMTs and paramedics require certification from National Registry Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) but paramedic requires a license from the state which EMTs do not require.
- The annual earning of paramedics is quite higher than EMTs.
- The educational qualifications are more standard and broader for paramedics while EMTs just require a diploma and basic training.
