Fox and Wolf are mammals that are a part of a dog family. They both are considered as close relatives of dogs, yet they are not loved by humans as much as dogs because of their clever and cunning nature. Even though fox and wolf have the same relative and ancestor, they have quite different characteristics.

The main difference between fox and wolf is that there are only two species of wolves while 37 species of a fox. Foxes are seen across the globe except for the southern hemisphere, whereas wolves are seen only in the northern hemisphere. Foxes are solitary animals while wolves are social butterflies who live in a herd of 6 to 10 animals.
