HTC Gratia and HTC Legend are two basic Android smartphones, one a compact elegant device and the other a solid device with added widget library for personalization. Gratia is a new phone to be released in Q1, 2011 and Legend is already available in the market. Gratia will come with a 3.2 inch touchscreen with pinch to zoom, 320 x 480 resolution, 600 MHz processor, 512 MB ROM, 384 MB RAM, 5 MP camera with Geotagging, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and to run Android 2.1 (Eclair) with HTC Sense. The battery capacity is 1200mAh with a talk time of 6 to 7 hours. The special feature in the phone is the polite ringer, which automatically lowers the ringer volume when you pick up the phone and mutes the ringer when you flip it face down.
The HTC Legend is a solid device, which HTC claims to have made it from a single piece of brushed aluminium. The phone features include a 3.2 inch AMOLED pinch to zoom touch screen with a resolution of 320 X 480 HVGA, 600 MHz processor, 512 MB ROM, 384 MB RAM, 5 MP camera with Geotagging, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and to run Android 2.1 (Eclair) with HTC Sense. The battery capacity is 1300mAh with a talk time of 7 to 8 hours. This phone also has the polite ringer feature.
Both the phones support HSPA/WCDMA (900/2100 MHz) and GSM Quad band networks. Data download on 3G network up to 7.2 Mbps download speed, GPRS up to 114 kbps downloading and on EDGE up to 560 kbps.
Basically both phones carry similar features except for the exterior construction.
