The standby time has also reduced to 200 hours from the 300 hours on iPhone 4. Due to the improved graphics, the iPhone 4S consumes more battery power compared to the iPhone 4.
The iPhone 4S is a dual-antenna phone supporting both GSM and CDMA networks of varying frequencies. It supports a faster Bluetooth and HSDPA up to a maximum limit of 14.4 megabytes per second, whereas the iPhone 4 supports and older USB 2.1+ and the maximum speed of the HSDPA transfer is 7.2 megabytes per second. The iPhone 4S is a lot more powerful with an A5 processor compared to the slower A4 processor on iPhone 4. The processor speed is twice faster in iPhone 4S than the iPhone 4 and the graphic performance is seven times better than the previous model.
The iPhone 4 fully supports iOS 5, but partially supports iOS 6 and iOS 7. On the other hand, the iPhone 4S fully supports iOS 5 and iOS 6, but partially supports iOS 7. The iPhone 4S comes with SIRI – the Apple’s intelligent virtual assistant and also supports the Panorama mode in the camera app, which are not available on iPhone 4.
