It is hard to compare a smartphone that has already proved its worth among its users with a model that has just been announced. Yes, we are talking about Motorola’s Atrix 4G on AT&T network that is nothing short of a stupendous success after a series of flops (read flip in and flip out). Motorola Atrix 4G

Ever since its launch with AT&T, Atrix 4G has become a darling of all those who desire higher speeds of 4G as it combines the power of its dual core processor to bring an unbelievable surfing experience to the users. The way it introduced some innovative features like web top technology with Laptop Dock to surf the net; there is no doubt about the capabilities of this smartphone.

The phone has dimensions of 117.8×63.5x11mm and weighs just 135g making it comparable to the most advanced 3G phones. It boast of a nice 4 inch screen that is TFT LCD and highly capacitive and produces a resolution of 540×960 pixels that has a brightness second to none. Its Gorilla Glass screen makes it scratch resistant and impact resistant. It is equipped with an accelerometer, gyro sensor, multi touch input method, and a proximity sensor.

The smartphone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and has a powerful 1 GHz ARM Cortex A9 dual core processor, and with a more than enough 1 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage, users get a gliding experience even when indulging in multitasking. The phone has a strong 5 MP camera at the back that shoots razor sharp images in 2592×1944 pixels. It is auto focus and has LED flash. Samsung Droid Charge

Droid Charge has the looks and design of a premium phone, which it is. It has angles and curves at some places that demonstrate that it is an original phone and does not copy anyone. Samsung has always been particular when it comes to the display of its phones, and Droid Charge is no exception. It has a large, 4.3 inch screen that is super AMOLED Plus which translates into even more brightness than its earlier super AMOLED phones. Samsung has evidently tried to use Verizon’s platform to provide high 4G speeds to the consumers.

Droid Charge runs on Android 2.2 Froyo, has 1 GHz hummingbird processor and packs 512 MB RAM and 512 MB ROM. Though these are not impressive credentials in today’s context, it is the blazing fast Verizon network that makes the performance of Droid look excellent. It provides 2 GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32 GB using micro SD cards and packed with another 32GB microSD card.

Droid Charge has dimensions of 130x68x12mm and weighs 143g which means it is still compact and handy despite boasting a monster sized screen (4.3 inches). The super AMOLED plus display produces a resolution of 480×800 pixels and the touch screen is highly capacitive. It has multi touch input method with swype technology, light sensor and a proximity sensor.

Droid Charge boasts of two cameras. The rear one is 8 MP that is auto focus with LED flash, and records HD videos in 720p. Secondary camera is also impressive (1.3 MP), shooting sharp images and also allowing to make video calls. The phone is Wi-Fi 802.1b/g/n, DLNA, HDMI, GPS with A-GPS, EDGE, GPRS, Bluetooth v3.0. It has an HTML browser that supports flash and makes surfing seamless. It is packed with 1600mAh Li-ion battery that provides a talk time of up to 8 hours.

Droid Charge is available on a new two year contract for $299.99 from Verizon. It is available from Amazon store for $199 as a limited time offer.
