This new controller has a better battery life and also consumes higher power than the DualShock 3 features in the PS3. The Wi-Fi connectivity in the PS4 has been improved supporting faster internet browsing and better gaming over the web. The PS4 also supports the new Bluetooth Version 2.1, which is not supported by the PS3.

Moving in to further technical details, the PS4 is powered by an 8 cored processor and the graphics unit is a mighty AMD Radeon Graphics Core Next Engine. The PS3 was powered by an older model Cell Broadband CPU and the GPU was an RSX Reality Synthesizer manufactured by NVidia. The performance leap in the PS4 is very much notable. The RAM has been boosted to a new height in the PS4 featuring and 8GB GDDR5 RAM whereas the PS3 came out with a 256MB GDDR3 VRAM. That’s pretty much from the comparison section between the last two models of PlayStation from Sony.
