Pub vs Club
There need be no confusion when talking of a pub and a club. Even then, some think that the two have no differences.
A pub can be identified as a mini bar for boozing. It is a place where beverages, both non-alcoholic and alcoholic, are served. In pubs, alcoholic drinks can be bought and used. All pubs also serve food.
Unlike a pub, a club is a social place where one can have discussions, music, and a dance floor. Alcohol is not served in clubs. Alcoholic drinks cannot be bought and used in clubs; however, in some clubs, alcohol is allowed.
When a pub is for boozing, a club is for everything else. A club is also an association of people who have some common interest. The club consists of people having almost the same characteristics. In a pub, different people visit it.
The club members join together quite often, but in a pub, different people visit it. In terms of membership, people need to obtain a membership in a club whereas there is no such membership required in pubs. There are some restrictions for entering clubs whereas there is no restriction in entering pubs.
A pub is only a place for drinking. One can also have some entertainment in the pubs while drinking. One can come across comedians, music troops, and even strippers at some pubs. There can be some restrictions in establishing pubs. In some countries, pubs are not allowed near religious places and also educational institutions. There are no restrictions with regard to establishing clubs.
Gay bars, dive bar, blues, wine bars, and cocktail lounges are some of the different types of pubs. Hobby clubs, school clubs, college clubs, residential clubs, laughing clubs, sports clubs are some of the clubs that one can see are established.
