Pune and Bangalore are two cities in the country of India that show some differences between them when it comes to their places of interest and economy. Pune or Punya Nagari (the land of merits) is the second largest city in the state of Maharashtra, next only to Mumbai and the eighth largest metropolis in India.
Pune is situated 560 meters above sea level on the Deccan plateau at the meeting place of two rivers, namely , Mula and Mutha.
It is interesting to note that the great Maratha emperor Chatrapati Shivaji lived in the city of Pune when he was a young boy. Pune is known for its educational prowess. It is home to some wonderful medical colleges and other education institutions. Its economy flourishes mainly due to the production of glass, sugar, and forging industries.
