RN is a Registered Nurse, and is a health care specialist who uses her learned nursing practices and processes to take care of an ailing person. A Registered Nurse is trained and qualified to treat patients. The Associate degree is two years, but on the other hand, the Bachelors degree takes four years. On the other hand, BSN is a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing, for which you need to qualify for the NCLEX-RN exam with either a BSN or ADN. The Bachelor’s degree provides you with more options for progress, and is required if you want to continue as a nursing specialist.

On the other hand, BSN stands for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), which is a four year academic degree in the science of nursing. It is awarded by any secondary education university, or any accredited school which provides a similar kind of certification and degree. A person is eligible to appear for the NCLEX-RN licensing examination in order to be a Registered Nurse, after taking a graduate degree from either a two year program with an Associate’s Degree (ADN) or from a four-year nursing program with a BSN. The BSN trains nurses for a professional role, along with the coursework in nursing science, leadership, research and nursing informatics.
