Samsung Galaxy Player 4 and Galaxy Player 5 (also known as Galaxy S Wi-Fi) are two new additions to the Galaxy family of portable devices such as Galaxy Smartphones and Galaxy Tabs. Both Samsung Galaxy Player 4 and Player 5 are powered by Android 2.2 Froyo. Basically Galaxy Player 4 and Galaxy Player 5 are exactly like Samsung Galaxy S phone except for the calling functionality and 3G access for internet. But these devices have Wi-Fi access to connect to internet and for VoIP calling thus they are referred as Samsung Galaxy S Wi-Fi. The main difference between Galaxy Player 4 (4 inches) and Galaxy Player 5 (5 inches) is the display. The other differences are the weight and the camera flash, which is not there in Galaxy Player 4. Galaxy Player 4 weighs 5 oz and Galaxy Player 5 weighs 7 oz.
Samsung Galaxy Players are packed with 1 GHz Hummingbird processors and powered by Android 2.2 Froyo with Samsung Touchwiz UI. Both have front and rare cameras, only Galaxy Player 5 has flash. Both Support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. If you buy a wireless broadband plan with Wi-Fi dongle or Wi-Fi modem you will get all the features of a Tablet or iPad. You can configure email to check mails and install CISCO Jabber to access corporate directory or calling. But sometimes Samsung will disable VoIP features to differentiate with Samsung Galaxy Tab products. But introduction of Galaxy Player may affect Apple iPad and other Tablets and Pads.
