Difference Between Samsung Infuse 4G and HTC Holiday

A real challenge to Samsung Infuse 4G is coming from its strong competitor, HTC in the name of HTC Holiday. It’s the second phone to come with 4.5″ display. HTC is soon introducing HTC Holiday for AT&T, which only recently added Infuse 4G to its HSPA+ network. Samsung was boasting Infuse 4G as the thinnest smartphone of the nation (US) with the largest display (8.9mm thickness with 4.5″ display). Now, HTC has gone a step ahead and packing HTC Holiday with 4.5″ qHD (960×540) display and a 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm processor. Samsung Infuse 4G is powered by 1.2GHz Hummingbird processor. Not only that, it out performs Infuse 4G in software also. While Infuse 4G runs Android 2.2 (Froyo) with TouchWiz 3.0 Holiday is on Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) with the latest HTC Sense 3.0.

HTC Holiday

With a 4.5″ qHD (960×540) display and powered by 1.2GHz dual core Qualcomm MSM8660 Snapdragon processor, HTC Holiday is now at the top of list in terms of specs. It’s a dual camera phone with 8MP at the rear and 1.3MP at the front and has a solid 1GB RAM. The phone runs Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread with the latest HTC Sense.

For connectivity it has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v3.0 and possibly it will be the first device for AT&T’s LTE network.

Samsung Infuse 4G

Samsung Infuse 4G is one of the fastest smartphone on AT&T’s HSPA+21Mbps network. Not only this, with a huge display of 4.5 inches that fits in somehow in the ultra slim frame of Infuse, Samsung is set to create a standard that will be a tough job to follow for other manufacturers. The display makes use of super AMOLED Plus technology and produces high brightness levels along with vivid colors and blacks that are to be seen to be believed. Riding on Android 2.2 Froyo and a powerful 1.2GHz processor, the phone gives a performance that is sure to win hearts of millions of mobile users around the world.

The smartphone is a dual camera device with an 8 MP camera at the rear with LED flash capable of recording high definition videos in 720p and a 1.3 MP camera in front that allows video calling. The smartphone is equipped with all standard features like Wi-Fi, A-GPS, Bluetooth, proximity sensor with a 3.5mm audio jack at the top. The phone is armed with Samsung’s famous TouchWiz UI that sits on top of Android 2.2 and makes it a pleasing experience for the user. A notable gift for the users is preloaded Angry Birds with a hidden level. The phone has a big 1750mAh battery that lasts for a longer time. It has Android browser that supports Flash and HTML.

Samsung Infuse 4G was released on 15 May 2011 and is available in AT&T stores and Online stores for $200 with a new 2 year contract and a min $15 data plan is required to access web based applications.

Difference Between Samsung Infuse 4G and HTC Holiday

1. Processor – Infuse 4G has 1.2 GHz processor while it is 1.2GHz dualcore used in HTC Holiday

2. OS – While Holiday uses the latest Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) Infuse 4G is using Android 2.2 (Froyo) with a promised OTA upgrade to Gingerbread

3. UI – The latest HTC Sense 3.0 in Holiday and TouchWiz 3.0 is used in Infuse.
