ViewPad 4 is Android 2.4 ready and currntly runs Android 2.2 (FroYo).It’s powered by 1GHz Qualcomm MSM 8255 and packed with 5megapixel rear camera, front-facing VGA camera for video chat, 512MB RAM, 2GB ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion up to 32GB, support for Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, A-GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, microUSB, HDMI out and 1400 mAh battery.

Display

Display is perhaps the first thing that strikes the users. While Galaxy S II has a super AMOLED plus capacitive touchscreen that stands at 4.27” at a resolution of 800×480 pixels, Viewpad does not lag behind at a screen size of 4.1” touchscreen with same resolution. However, Super AMOLED screen of Galaxy looks more stunning and bright.

Dimensions

While Viewpad 4 has dimensions of 122x60x10mm and weighs 143g, Galaxy S II stands at 125.3×66.1×8.49mm and weighs only 116g which makes it feel much light in comparison and Galaxy S2 is the thinnest phone today.

Processor Speed

Galaxy S II has a super fast 1GHz ARM Cortex A9 Dual-core processor, and Viewpad 4 tally behind with it with a 1GHz Qualcomm processor.

User Interface

The Galaxy S II will give users a new experience with its latest TouchWiz 4.0 UI. Viewsonic also has introduced a new user experience in ViewPad 4 with its own UI, ViewScene. In ViewPad 4 users can customize their homescreens based on location with the support of GPS function.

Multimedia

Viewpad 4 has a rear 5Mp camera with 720p video camcorder and a VGA camera in front, while Galaxy S II has a better 8MP rear camera with 1080p HD video recording. Even the front camera for video calling is 2MP and this is where Galaxy S II scores over Viewpad 4.

Connectivity

While Galaxy has Bluetooth v3.0 and Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Viewpad 4 has Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g

All in all, Samsung Galaxy S II looks to be a better buy in comparison to Viewpad 4.
