TZ6 vs TZ7
Panasonic, one of the leading camera manufacturers, launched the TZ6 and TZ7 – two new digital compact cameras. Even though both the variations look the same, there are many features which makes each stand out as a different product.
The TZ6 and TZ7 are both fitted with a Leica DC Vario Elmar twenty-five millimeter lens, with twelve 25mm wide-angle lens along with a optical zoom option which makes the model equivalent to top end telephoto models, with three hundred millimeter lens. Both the models can withstand a shake while using the slow shutter speed. This is due to the Panasonic lens, which has the optical image stabilization feature. The processing engines of the two models reflect the difference in video recording and shooting capabilities.
The TZ6 is a ten-megapixel model with a charged coupled device sensor, and is the successor to the nine-megapixel TZ5. The competitive T27, on the contrary, is a new variant with twelve megapixels, with an output of ten megapixels.
The TZ7 facilitates multiple shooting in 3:2, 16:9 and 4:3, and produces high definition videos. This camera also helps to record one image in three different ratios, at the same time. This gives more options for the photographer. The advanced version of the TZ7 is loaded with a High Definition Venus Engine from Panasonic, to deliver high definition pictures, and manages a top speed of about 10fps image shoots.
The TZ6 provides high definition video in high quality videos. This camera can take pictures in both 4:3 and 16:9 standards. 4:3 is for standard television view, while 16:9 is for widescreen television view. The TZ6 model is fitted with the Venus Engine IV from Panasonic, and an ISO 6400 setting. This camera is also capable of performing at a top speed of six point five fps.
The other notable variation in these two popular models is the quality of LCD. The TZ6 uses a 2.7 inch, and two lacs and resolution screen with a thirty-thousand dot screen, while the TZ7 uses a 3 inch, and four lacs and resolution screen with sixty thousand dots.
Both the TZ6 and TZ7 are loaded with features to capture reliable smart images in auto mode, with the help of the automatic AF tracking feature. This feature helps to focus on the target, even when on the move. The face detection feature, which is sported in both Panasonic sibling models, helps to remove the red eye syndrome in the images captured.
